The Hunt Coat Company is the new online trading name for PC Equestrian which has been making the highest quality horse riding and hunt clothing for other retailers for the best part of 20 years. But its history extends back much further than this.

Our History
Peter Carr has spent the whole of his working life in the making of equestrian attire after joining the highly respected Caldene Clothing Company in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire upon leaving school at the age of 16.
Steeped in heritage and history, Caldene Clothing Company manufactured and supplied horse riding clothing and accessories to a number of retailers across the UK. Although the business was sold some years ago now the historic brand name still lives on today under its new owners.
With 30 years experience with Caldene, Peter started his own business PC Equestrian in 2004 and has been doing “all he has ever known” for himself ever since.

For many years we’ve been supplying some of the leading online equestrian clothing brands and High St retailers with premium quality hunt coats (and other attire). You may well have purchased one previously and not known it’s been made by us!
Now, through the newly created Hunt Coat Company, we are able to offer the same high-quality clothing at a lower price (like-for-like) by cutting out the ‘middle man’ in the buying process.
The Hunt Coat Company is a small family business, situated in the heartland of the British clothing industry – on the West Yorkshire / Lancashire border – and ingrained in the history and traditional ways of working that have remained virtually unchanged for decades.
I’ve bought several hunt coats from Peter Carr over the years and have always found them to be of exceptional quality and value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending him and indeed have already done so to many of our hunt and riding friends.
